Mobility Scooters
I was just thinking what gift I can give my old grandpa this coming Christmas. He’s over 60 years old now and I thought a wheelchair might be a nice present for him. He’s kinda slow when walking now and could hardly walk with me at the park.
I’ve seen a lot of those electric wheelchairs which can be easily used. I think it will be a perfect gift for my grandpa. I started searching the internet for electric mobility scooters and came across Mobsol.com.au. We don’t really live in Australia so there’s no way I can buy one from them but I would highly recommend their product if you live in this country.
Well, the mobile scooters that Mobsol offers are not really just for old ones but for anyone who might in need of it. You might be asking yourself, is it legally to use these type of mobility equipments in public? According to the site:
Under current legislation mobility scooters are classified as electric wheelchairs and the user of this type of equipment is classified as a pedestrian. Bearing this in mind you are therefore allowed to ride your mobility scooter on the footpath or in fact anywhere a pedestrian would normally be allowed to walk. If you have any doubts at all contact your local council or RTA for clarification.
That means it’s perfectly fine to use them in public.
